Project Overview
This 36-page publication explores the evolution, anatomy, and application of sans serif typography in contemporary design. Developed as a conceptual magazine, Sans Serif Invasion was created using curated content from existing publications, books, and online sources. The goal was to craft a visually compelling and informative publication piece that bridges historical insight with modern-day relevance.
The magazine includes:
A timeline of sans-serif’s historical development
Visual breakdowns of anatomical distinctions across sans-serif families
Two in-depth interviews with contemporary sans-serif type designers
Practical guidance on when and how to effectively use sans-serif type in design work
LTTRFRM: Type I.D. Card (Zine Supplement)
To complement the main magazine, I designed an eight-page fold zine as a portable “Type I.D. Card.” While the magazine provides in-depth articles and designer interviews, the zine distills key information about sans-serif typefaces into a concise, visually engaging format.
The fold-out structure makes it both collectible and functional — readers can unfold it into a poster-like reference guide, or keep it folded as a pocket-sized tool. Each panel highlights a different sans-serif typeface with essential details on form, readability, and design context.
